Attention: Whoever has tried to initiate a password change for the Gmail address “danielbowen”:

It’s not working for you because it’s not your email address.

It’s mine. That’s why the password assistance message keeps coming through to me.

If you’ve received this mail in error, it’s likely that another user entered your email address by mistake while trying to reset a password. If you didn’t initiate the request, you don’t need to take any further action and can safely disregard this email.

Yup. Disregarding.

Oh, and if you’re the same person (Stateside, somewhere, I think) whose friends occasionally email me, then I can only doubly emphasise: please learn what your email address is. I really don’t want to read any more of their lame jokes, construction work updates, travel plans, wedding photos, news of your ailments, or your mutual friends’ ailments. (That stuff should be personal, after all).

Thanks.

I get that ALL the time on my gmail. There’s another me in the world, only for some reason, gmail picks up on “my.name” and “myname” for some reason so I get this poor other Ren’s emails from Nikon helpdesk and sporting groups, etc, etc… it’s terrible.

LOL, that’s one good thing about using “Toriauru”. It’s not that common ;) Pity you have this annoyance however! Seems weird to think that you get some of his emails. Ugh!

I’m another one who keeps getting these, I think the . between firstname.surname is irrelevant

I suspect it’s people who say “I’m joe.blogs @ googlemail ”

and people guess the ending

Yup, I keep getting emails from Raelene W’s family and friends. Such lovely holiday pics…. Honestly, they aren’t that bright either, as I tell them ‘yoo-hoo! wrong email, I’m sure you don’t want your personal emails going to a complete stranger’, they acknowledge and a month or so later, more holiday snaps.

*sigh* sometimes people just don’t give a rats.
