ABC 774 on transport

On Thursday morning ABC radio 774 is running a special programme on Melbourne’s transport problems, with opinion from interested parties and 774 listeners.

774 ABC Melbourne’s Jon Faine will lead a special broadcast where we, with the help of our listeners, map the traffic and public transport problems, and black spots, across Melbourne.

Yours truly will probably make a contribution at about 9:30am.

(Unfortunately they don’t webcast, though the 8:30 to 9am section of the programme is usually available.)

Nice surprise to hear you this morn on Jon Faine – you spoke very eloquently and the 85kms of road vs 10km of track was a great short and sharp example. (BTW, was he saying that you are one of the more media savvy pro public transport reps around??)

I normally train but had to bring a work car back into the city from Dandy this morning – it took me 55 mins with about 5 of those mins spent above 40kph! I dont suffer road rage but when I completely overreacted and swore my head off at the disfunctional basement garage doors, I realised it had actually affected my mood. Grrr!

Hey, I’m the first to say “Well done”. Great job although I would have like to hear more useful plans than a new ticketing system.
