Lesson for the day

Isaac learnt an important lesson yesterday: look where you’re going, and don’t hurry around a blind corner. The consequences may be a fat lip, blood from a cut in the mouth, a painful (though not broken) leg, and much distress.

The kid on the bike didn’t fare too well either, the saddle disconnecting from the rest of the bike. While I don’t know if he was over 12 (the age to which legally kids can ride bikes on the footpath), even if he was over I couldn’t blame him for being there, since the road in question is perilous.

So I’m home today, doing some catchup stuff here. Some of which involves a little work on this ‘ere blog, so if you see some dust flying and things looking a bit odd, don’t panic.
