Instant movie review: Spellbound

Spellbound: documentary following 8 fourteen-year-old American kids getting to the national Spelling Bee finals. The tension mounts as the competition goes on, and along the way there are some genuinely funny moments (well done to the Hooters restaurant people for cheering their local competitor with a big "CONGRADULATIONS" sign) as well as providing an insight into their (for some of them mundane) everyday lives. And what on earth was the D.C. Mom cooking up in the frying pan?!Thumbs up

PS. Eu-flipping-reka, recycled paper tissues are back in the supermarkets. ‘Bout time.

PPS. 33, and I’m still getting pimples. This weekend’s was a rather prominent one on my nose. Argh.
