I hate the music

Message to owners of coffee shops in the CBD and other business-oriented areas:

Because of the closeness of related organisations, your venue is a de facto meeting room.

So, at least 9 to 5, turn down the music. Your clientele is happy to pay you to serve us beverages, but we really don’t want to be shouting across the table.

  8. Look I know office bingo is a great game, but it’s not something I want to play when enjoying a coffee.
How bout you be a bit more professional and take your business meeting back to your/their business.

  10. Gotta say I’m with Andy on this one. I’ve always hated the “meetings over coffee at the shop” deal, both going to them and being around them.

  12. All down to personal preference I guess. I’ll take any opportunity I can to get out of the office.

  14. Restaurants here love playing music full-blast. That’s on top of the waiters and kitchen staff yelling out their ‘welcome’s when you step in the place.
