Mon 29 January 2007 - A few pics
Some pictures snapped in the last few days…

I’ve never seen them have to explain what Happy Hour is before

Pah, I’m not even going to try

Hands up who remembers Stacks of Slax from The Late Show? Alas, they’ve just closed down.

Stacks of slax on rax?
Yes, I remember, an owner with no sense of humour at all. They tried every trick in the book to get in.
Such a pity it is going. Ormond will never be the same again.

Very funny segment on the Late Show. I sat on the phone for an hour one Monday morn to get tix (redial was the best thing invented for such times) and finally got through to get the max 4 tix. Great program and was a lot of fun to see it live!

I’m not stupid. I know what “Happy Hour” means.
But who was Charles Dickens?

Anon, click on the link above; it takes you to a page that includes Tony Martin interviewing the Stacks Of Slax lady.

The publican at the Charles Dickens is an old grump though….It’s the only pub I’ve been yelled at for moving 2 tables together…

Anon - I think you might be confusing the inhospitable owner with the manager of the Job Warehouse in the same sketch…
Regarding the parking - I have a theory about Camry drivers - they are the Volvo drivers of the new millennium - have a look next time you are out on the road…
