Off to Sydney

I’m off to Sydney today for a few days with the kids, on the trip I booked in July.

Hoping to walk across the harbour bridge, ride the monorail and the ferries, go to Tooronga Zoo, all that good stuff.

Hopefully the flight home won’t be a long saga of delays like the last couple of times.

PS. Tuesday 10pm. Back. Had a good time. Will post in excruciating detail over the next few days, as always.

  2. Monorail? Ferries? You just can’t keep away from public transport!
PS My older daughter came back from a rally in the city today (global warming) with a “More trains=Less traffic” sticker. Sound familiar? Can’t really put that on my bumper bar…

  4. Roger, I think the message is ‘My car wouldn’t be in your way if there was a train’ but that’s too long for a bumper sticker.

  8. I would ignore the monorail and the tram in Sydney, they are a joke for the locals. Darling Harbour and Chinatown are great to walk around though.

  14. Did you take a look at the Lighthorse Interchange on Westlink M7 where it intersects with Wallgrove Rd & the Western Motorway :D?? Simply amazing. Hopefully Melbourne will have some freeway interchanges like this one day, hopefully soon :) :D
