Tue 16 May 2006 - Quick easy dinner

My favourite cold-night dining-alone dinner is soup with toast. Perhaps one of those nice Heinz spicy lentil soups; perhaps pumpkin; perhaps tomato. Heat it up in the saucepan, chuck a slice of bread in the toaster, and eat. Exceptionally low effort, quick, yummy, warming, and healthyish.

Ooh, tomato soup is great. I like the chicken noodle soup with lots of buttered toast to go with it. I know what I’m having for tea tonight.

Canned soup is such a good pantry staple. Just me and Phee for dinner last night so we did a quick and dodgy and had spaghetti on toast! Another good pantry staple.
In this weather, you just want a nice bowl of warm.

Sadly I can’t eat those canned soups, they have a lot of sodium and I am hypertense as I mentioned before…. They are tasty though….
